CALL FOR STUDY VOLUNTEERS

P-One Clinic (Hachioji, Tokyo) is seeking male participants for an upcoming clinical study with study groups beginning in May and June.

WHAT ARE CLINICAL STUDIES?

Clinical studies (also called “clinical trials”) are scientific tests to check the efficacy and safety of new drugs, medical devices, and healthcare procedures. They are conducted with the cooperation of willing volunteers and governed by the strict legal and ethical guidelines of Good Clinical Practice (GCP). By participating in a clinical study, you play a crucial role in helping to get new medicines to the patients who need them.

STUDY OUTLINE

P-One Clinic (Hachioji, Tokyo) is seeking healthy males for an upcoming study. Those who pass the initial selection will be invited to an information/consent session and screening health check. Those who pass the screening will be invited to take a PCR test approximately 2 weeks later and then to participate in a test of a drug. They will stay overnight at the clinic for 9 nights and return one week later for a single follow-up health check.

BASIC PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

•You are aged 18 years or older and younger than 40 years BMI (body mass index) from 18.5 to less than 30.0
•Body weight of at least 50 kg
•Healthy based on medical history and testing/examinations
•You can read and understand the Subject Information Sheet and Informed Consent Form at the screening, and are willing to consent to the study

SCHEDULE

Single Dose Part

Step 1
Screening: May 6 (begins at 1:15 and lasts approximately 3 hours)
PCR Test: May 13, time TBA (only for those who pass the screening)
Clinic Stay: May 18 – May 27 (enter the clinic on May 18th and leave in the afternoon of May 27 for an 9 night stay)
Follow-up: June 5 (a basic health check in the morning/afternoon, usually about 1hour).

Step 2
Screening: May 31 (begins at 9:30 and lasts approximately 3 hours)
PCR Test: date TBA (only for those who pass the screening)
Clinic Stay: June 18 – June 27 (enter the clinic on June 18th and leave in the afternoon of June 27th for an 9 night stay)
Follow-up: July 5 (a basic health check in the morning/afternoon, usually about 1 hour).

  • Study cancellations or changes of schedule sometimes occur after you apply or take a screening
  • MVN is not able to respond to all inquiries
  • As mentioned in the MVN Membership Policy you will need to consent to before registering or applying, please understand that our staff will use the name and birthdate you provide to check whether you have participated in any other clinical studies and when the final dosing may have been conducted
  • Applying for multiple clinical studies simultaneously is not permitted. If you are discovered attempting multiple entry, your membership may be annulled.
  • If you are found to have made any false or fraudaulent statements, including those concerning your height/weight, medical history or previous study participation, you may be asked to leave without receiving the cooperation compensation
